Our Story

Polar Cub has been a neighborhood staple since 1952, when it first opened its windows. In December 1998, the shop was purchased by Mario, who kept that same spirit alive for over 20 years before passing the business on to his son Vincent, who carries the tradition forward today.

We love hearing from families who have been visiting Polar Cub for generations, and the traditions that have grown around a simple trip for ice cream.

It's our hope to continue honoring the values this place was built on over 70 years ago, and to give every customer — first-timer or longtime regular — the best experience possible.
